MISiS university branch in Almalyk starts admission process 

The second intake for the academic year 2019/2020 has started at the MISiS university branch in Almalyk. Reception of documents is carried out in the branch office until July 31.

The admission quota for the academic year 2019/2020 has been set at 250 seats and 40% of students will be trained at the expense of the state (full exemption from payment of tuition fee).

Reception of documents is carried out in the following areas of education:

— Metallurgy (Metal technology) — 100 students;

— Automation and management of technological processes and production (by industry) — 50 students;

— Mining — 100 students.

In order to create conditions for applicants to apply to several universities, the branch receives copies of the applicant's documents with a notarized translation into Russian.

Entrance examinations will be held on August 3 — in math, on August 5 — in physics and on August 7 — in the Russian language. Students with a sufficient number of points will be enrolled at the NUST MISiS and will study at the MISiS Almalyk branch. Diplomas of the university are recognized internationally.

It should be recalled that the Almalyk branch of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS was established at the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin in October 2018.

Today the branch has 150 students in various fields. It can be stated that the Almalyk branch is equipped with the most innovative and technologically advanced educational and laboratory facilities throughout the CIS, which was established under the patronage of the famous businessman Alisher Usmanov. Also, the scientific potential of the teaching staff from Russia and other foreign countries remains the highest in the republic — 77%.
